Biography
I was born on 25 November, 1955 to late Pa Michael Adeyemi and late Madam Deborah Odunola Ogundeji, of Ketuketu Compound, Odookun, Kobomoje, Ibadan. I attended St. Lukes Demonstration School Molete, Ibadan for my elementary education ( 1961 – 1966) and Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School, Aperin Oniyere, Ibadan for my secondary education (1969 – 1974). I did Higher school at Basic studies Department of The Polytechnic Ibadan (1974 – 19 76). I had my B. A., (1979), M. A. and PhD.(1988) degrees in Yoruba from the Department of Linguistics and African Languages, U.I. I served as teaching assistant in my department between 1981 and 1983, when I became an assistant lecturer and I rose to become a professor ther in 1997. I have benn teaching and researching into Yoruba Literature (oral and written, and especially drama) and culture..
