Biography
Born on March 29, 1941. Father was a colonial civil servant. Mother was a teacher. Attended St Jude’s School, Ebute Metta, Lagos, the CMS Grammar School, Lagos(1954-58), the Nigerian College, Ibadan(1959-61) for A levels, the University College, Ibadan(1961-64)graduating BAHons History., the School of oriental and African studies of the Univetsity if London(1966-67), MA(London))), the Institute of Social Studies at The Hague, graduated in 1970 advanced diplomatic international Relations with distinction, and Commonwealth Scholar at Trinity College, University of Oxford (2969-72) D. Phi(Oxon). Served in the Nigerian diplomatic service from 1964-1984. Last post was as Ambassador and deputy permanent representative of Nigeria at the UN, New York.l Married with 5 children
