I facilitate/organize Creative Writing Workshops in secondary schools in Lagos; for example in Green Springs Schools in Anthony Village & Lekki. I have been Chief Examiner of the nationwide Bishop Mike Okonkwo Annual Essay Competition for Senior Secondary School since 2005. Twelve other professors from my community, Uga, Anambra State, and I organize an Annual Vacation Programme for senior secondary school students to prepare them for JAMB, WAEC, NECO and other public examinations.
Biography
T. Akachi Ezeigbo, a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters, is a Professor of English and a multiple award-winning writer and international scholar. She has taught in three universities in Nigeria – University of Lagos, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo and Ebonyi State University in Abakaliki – as well as in South Africa and the United Kingdom. She is a poet, novelist, playwright, short story writer and children’s author. Ezeigbo has published over fifty books and many articles in local and international journals and is a member of the Editorial Boards of African Literature Today (ALT) and Journal of African Literature Association (JALA). She is the author of Fact and Fiction in the Literature of the Nigerian Civil War (1991 & 2019). Ezeigbo was former Vice President of PEN Nigeria and former Vice President of Women Writers Association of Nigeria (WRITA) and writes creatively under the pen name Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo.
