Biography
I was born in 1957, in the city of Ilorin. I attended Quranic/Arabic schools in the same city and Kano upto 1976; I attended BUK/ABU Kano and University of Ilorin for my BA, MA and PhD. I proceeded to king Saud University for Post Graduate Diploma in teaching of Arabic as a Foreign Language. I worked as a Media Practitioner, Judicial Officer and University Lecturer between 1983 to date. I held various positions such as provost, Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies 2001-2007; Acting Head, Department of Religions, University of Ilorin 2012-2014; Deen Post Graduate School 2015-2017 and Deen Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, AlHikmah University Ilorin 2017-2018.
I have published articles in Learned Journals both within and outside Nigeria. I have also published some books in Arabic and in English. I am married with children and grand children.
