Biography

Prof. Ekanola specialises in the areas of Ethics and Social and Political Philosophy with emphasis on issues relating to peace and social development in Africa. He has 65 publications, many of which are published in highly reputable international journals in Africa, Asia, Europe, South America and the USA. He has supervised over 50 M.A. projects and six Ph.D theses. He is currently supervising four Ph.D theses.
Prof. Ekanola has occupied several administrative positions and served on many committees at the University of Ibadan. These include Ag. Head of Department, Dean, Faculty of Arts, Director, Office of International Programmes; Member, Governing Council and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
Prof. Ekanola facilitated several international collaborations across all continents on behalf of the University of Ibadan. These include the DAAD In Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme approved in June 2019 and the DAAD-funded employability research and training programme, approved in December 2019.
