Biography

Born on October 1, 1965, Christian Anieke had his first degree at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where he studied Education/English (1985-1989). After his first degree, he felt called to the Catholic priesthood. After his seminary education in Austria, and with two degrees in Philosophy and Theology, he was ordained on 22 July 2000. Afterwards he went ahead to obtain two master‘s degrees in Theology and English. He also rounded off his doctorate degree in English, with a specialization in postcolonial literature. On his return, Anieke rose fast in his academic life and became a visiting professor at ESUT and in 2007 he was also made a full professor of the University. Prof. Anieke founded Godfrey Okoye University for his Catholic Diocese of Enugu in 2009.
