Biography
Florence Onyebuchi Orabueze was born in 1966 and hails from Nnewi. She holds degrees in English, and Law. She is a professor in the Department of English & Literary Studies, University of Nigeria. She has attended a plethora of conferences, published critical essays, poems, and a novel. Her academic output and mentorship was celebrated in 2019 in Perspectives on Language, Literature & Human Rights: Essays in Honour of Professor Florence Onyebuchi Orabueze. She was the director of University of Nigeria Bookshop Ltd and University of Nigeria Press Ltd, and the current director, Institute of African Studies in the university. She was chairman, NUC Accreditation Panels to universities. She has several academic recognitions, awards and fellowships, including University of Nigeria Excellent Performance Award; Fellow NICArb; FICMC; Life Member, Nigerian Academy of Letters, and an alumna of Galilee International Management Institute, Israel.
