Biography

Mufutau Temitayo LAMIDI, Professor of Generative Syntax and Contact Linguistics, is of the Department of English, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. He was elevated to the rank of professor in 2011. He is a member of some learned societies such as English Studies Association of Nigeria, American Studies Association and West African Linguistics Association. His research interests are largely on Generative Syntax, Contact Linguistics/Sociolinguistics and Applied Linguistics. His research works have appeared in local and international books and journals. He is currently the Editor of Ibadan Journal of Humanistic Studies, a journal based in the Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He is married with children.
