Biography
Professor Dirikon Iniebio Teilanyo hails from Nembe, Bayelsa State. He holds an Upper Second Class B.A.Ed. degree in Education-English from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1989. He also obtained an M.A. (1995) and a Ph.D. (2003) in English from the University of Benin, Benin City where started his working career in 1991 as a Graduate Assistant and rose through all the ranks to attain his professorship in 2011. At the University of Benin, he has held numerous administrative positions at various times, including being Assistant Dean, Head of Department and representative of his Faculty in different important committees of the University. Between 2016 and 2020 he was on secondment to Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State as the Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences as well as Member of the Governing Council Selection Committee and Interview Panels for the appointment of Principal Officers of the University.
