Biography
Yakubu Aboki Ochefu is an academic, university administrator and entrepreneur. He holds a B.A. Hons. degree in History obtained in 1982, and Ph.D. Economic History from the University of Calabar and M.A Political Economy from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. His teaching career spans the University of Calabar and Benue State University he lectured from 1985 to 2012. At the Benue State University he was Head, History Department, Dean Students Affairs, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Director of Consultancy Services and Professor of Economic History and Development Studies. He served as the Vice-Chancellor of Kwararafa University, and is currently the Secretary-General, Committee of Vice Chancellors.
Professor Yakubu Ochefu has over 75 publications to his credit and is a Fellow and former National President of the Historical Society of Nigeria. He is also an Information and communications consultant and part-time entrepreneur involved in Publishing, Renewable Energy and Waste-to-Wealth.
